“I took up golf after the Taliban tried to kill me”
On this week’s episode of The bunkered Podcast, in the lead-up to Remembrance Sunday, we talk to Nick Franklin, a former private in the 1st Battalion Princess of Wales Royal Regiment.
After being medically discharged as a result of a serious injury that he suffered whilst on a tour of Afghanistan, Nick has slowly rebuilt his life through golf thanks to the On Course Foundation. It’s a tough, harrowing story – Nick talks candidly about the life-changing injuries he suffered and how his ongoing battle with PTSD almost cost him his marriage – but it is an important and worthy listen.
Elsewhere, Michael and Bryce discuss the new World Handicap System, Sir Sean Connery and share details of their worst-ever rounds…
